Deep Roots, Wild Soul: Art, Nature & Storytelling at Our Folsom Vacation Rental

Our backyard has always been one of the most meaningful spaces at Sibley Haus, our Folsom vacation rental. It’s where morning coffee meets golden light, where our grapevine stretches with the seasons, and where quiet moments linger longest. Now, that space is home to something new—two original murals by Amanda Lynn, a Sonoma-based artist whose work beautifully blends nature, soul, and storytelling.
Amanda’s murals aren’t just decoration. They’re a love letter to Folsom, to wildlife, and to the little moments that shape this vacation rental’s story.
🐻 Herbie in Wildflowers
One mural features Herbie, the black bear we “adopted” through the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary, surrounded by a dreamy field of painted wildflowers. Herbie isn’t just a painting—he’s a real bear with a real story, and a reminder of the animals cared for at the local zoo.
Above Herbie, two hummingbirds hover in mid-flight. They were inspired by a nest tucked into our rose bushes, cradling two tiny humming-babies. We named them Johnny and June, a quiet tribute to Folsom’s musical legacy. It felt right, honoring both the wildlife in our backyard and the spirit of this California town.
🌸 Painted Fence, Timeless Feeling
The second mural brings our wooden backyard fence to life with bold, blooming wildflowers, so full of color, movement, and soul.
At Sibley Haus, we often come back to a simple phrase: “Deep roots, wild soul.” These painted flowers carry the same energy—grounded and free, quiet and wild. Amanda captured that spirit beautifully. The blooms spill across the fence as a gentle reminder: stay rooted, grow bold, and let your soul wander.
A Folsom Vacation Rental Built on Story
Like everything at Sibley Haus, these murals were created with intention. Every part of this Folsom vacation rental, inside and out, has been thoughtfully designed to hold history, memory, and meaning.
Sibley Haus isn’t just a place to stay. It’s a story you get to step into, and we’re so glad you’re here for the next chapter.
Support Local Wildlife
We adopted Herbie to honor the work of the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary, and we hope you’ll consider supporting them too. Donations, symbolic adoptions, and visits help animals like Herbie thrive.
